We are seeking a Creative Designer to support our work on Observer.com and CommercialObserver.com. This role supports the Product and Ad Sales and Marketing teams. You will be providing creative support to the Product team, including developing designs and creative assets for web and mobile products. You will be providing creative support to the Ad Sales team, including developing presentations and support the conceptual designs for digital and print ads.
Understanding of and experience with visual storytelling
Strong grasp of marketing and digital advertising
Ability to manipulate images, create mockups of web pages, or other new assets
Ability to work quickly and creatively with images and language in Google Doc, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Powerpoint
Excellent skills at designing wireframes, creating product mockups, banner ad concepts and creative assets for our digital content
Familiarity with the principles of prototyping or wire-framing
Ability to smartly match appropriate imagery, quotes, and language to pitch deck ideas
Ability to understand Brand tone & focus and integrate into deck
Comfort working collaboratively and iteratively with Product and Marketing teams
- Capable of synthesizing business, brand and user objectives into seamless and simple user flows
2-3 years of design experience
Graphic design portfolio is required
Experience working with Brands and Agencies preferred but not required
Demonstrated Proficiency in Adobe creative suite, Google Docs, Microsoft Powerpoint, Keynote
2 letters of recommendation
