Graphic Designer

Commercial Observer seeking an experienced graphic designer to join the Creative Services team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, this individual will be responsible for executing design for marketing campaigns (in-house and client-side) and independently assisting the art director with the layout of the print publication.

The role will collaborate closely with sales, marketing and editorial teams to ensure on-brand design collateral, compelling marketing materials for external clients and timely art delivery to production for print runs.

This position is full-time, located on-site in New York.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and format marketing materials including print advertisements, display banner advertisements, sales proposals and event invitations

  • Create marketing materials that adhere to comprehensive brand standards

  • Prepare graphics for email marketing campaigns

  • Traffic and QA advertising material for print publication

  • Liaise directly with clients as necessary

  • Lay out editorial and advertising pages in InDesign

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Communications or a related discipline

  •  3-5 years of graphic design experience, preferably within a media or real estate company

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator

  • Detail oriented, well organized, able to handle multiple projects at any given time and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  •  Experience with high-end graphics, marketing, or production environment and/or real estate background a plus

  • Demonstrated experience creating and adhering to design guidelines

  • Proven record of providing outstanding internal and external customer service

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
