Membership / Subscription Sales Manager, Commercial Observer

Commercial Observer is currently hiring for a full-time Subscription Sales Representative for its growing subscription / and membership products. Commercial Observer is the leading commercial real estate media company. The Subscriptions Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring the maximization of the enterprise subscription base. As Subscriptions Sales Manager you will primarily be contacting Commercial Real Estate firms over the phone, so it is essential that you are confident, articulate and have a professional telephone manner.   • Research, qualifying and cold-calling prospects at top Commercial Real Estate firms in order to open, negotiate and close subscription / membership deals;
  • Weekly sales reporting and pipeline forecasting with ongoing CRM management
  • Become the subject matter expert of Commercial Observer subscription / membership products and events and continuously improve your business acumen
  • Present value proposition of Commercial Observer membership products and events
  • Highly articulate self-starter who is ambitious, has lots of energy and has the capacity to work both autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Gather prospecting data by conducting outreach efforts for upcoming events via LinkedIn and other business networking websites and contact databases
  • Uploading contacts into CRM and marketing automation platform
  • Conducting outbound sales calls
  • Identifying new leads and contacts
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with up to C-level seniority, by regular strategic communications and interaction
  • Sell event tickets to Commercial Observer Events;


  • 2-5+ years of relevant B2B subscription / Events / membership sales experience
  • Successfully sold in B2B or technology solutions to non-technical people
  • Solid prospecting skills are required as we are seeking an individual that aggressively builds a pipeline
  • Thinks strategically and can follow through tactically
  • Customer-centric, consultative, as well as transactional: Understands customer’s market, their business & challenges
  • Understanding of CRM platforms such as SalesForce is a plus
  • Sense of mission, role in demonstrable change, monetary reward, personal and team recognition, sense of pride in work deliverables
  • Communicates openly, operates with integrity, and leads by example
  • Possesses positive energy and fierce drive
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience required
  • Interest in commercial real estate industry a plus
