 Leading Commercial Real Estate Platform to Co-Organize US-Focused Conference Session: Developing and Investing in the United States: Where, What & How?

COMMERCIAL OBSERVER EXPANDS COVERAGE TO LOS ANGELES

Observer Names Ben Robinson as New Editor in Chief

NEW YORK, February 14, 2018 – Observer Media announced the appointment of former Thrillist Chief Creative Officer Ben Robinson as Editor in Chief of Observer, effective immediately. Robinson spent his last 10 years at Thrillist, serving as Nation Editor, Senior Editor, Executive Editor, Editorial Director, and most recently as Chief Creative Officer overseeing Thrillist's editorial and video teams, including a features group responsible for three James Beard Journalism Awards.

Observer Media Names James Karklins as New President

NEW YORK, January 8, 2017 – Observer Media announced the appointment of former Newsweek Media Group Chief Marketing Officer James Karklins as President of Observer Media, effective immediately. As President, Karklins will oversee Observer Media’s businesses, including Observer, Commercial Observer, and Realgraph. Karklins joins the company with extensive senior-level marketing and executive experience, having held several senior leadership positions with leading media companies around the world.

Karklins will work to develop and broaden Observer Media’s brands and business models and continue its growth in the media space. He will be charged with leading the organization’s day to day operations, as well as work with the board to define its future growth and investment strategy.

Prior to this, Karklins was the Vice President of Regional Marketing at Gartner, the world's leading technology and research advisory firm, with annual revenues exceeding $2B. There, he ran events marketing and audience development, driving delegate revenue to Gartner’s Worldwide Events business – one of its fastest-growing business unit.
