EDITORIAL INTERNSHIPS

Interns will be integrated into the newsroom environment and have the opportunity to gain invaluable interviewing, writing and researching skills, as well learn from Commercial Observer’s preeminent journalists. Interns are charged with writing both short articles and long-term features and fact-checking pieces. 

Commercial Observer runs one internship session a year for the summer session (June through August). Most interns will work two to three days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS

Eligible for college credit

  • Sophomore to Junior class standing

  • Ability to spend at least two days per week at our Manhattan office; there may be opportunities to do some work remotely

  • Passion for journalism 

  • Basic understanding of WordPress

  • Willingness to learn quickly

  • Desire to take on responsibility and provide creative suggestions

  • Experience in journalism preferred but not required
